I had the pleasure to meet and shoot a man by the name of California Red Johnson, Novelist, Historian, Columnist, Lecturer, and Active Member of the Western Writers of America, U.S. Naval Air crewmen 6yrs, Vietnam in country Veteran 67-68 VO-67, and 3 times California state champion trap and skeet shooter. he shot 1100 straight in 1992.
We actually met out at my local trap and skeet club and I asked him if I could take some portraits of him. We met a few days later at a local diner, had coffee and i took him and his wife MaeBeth to shoot. Red has a lot of stories which are all very interesting, hopefully my portraits of him portray that legacy.
